To oversee teams of Junior Programme Co-ordinators in the provision of high quality childcare including; Breakfast and After-school projects, Crèche, play-schemes and other children’s activities. It is essential to have previously worked with children in a professional setting, led a staff team, can relate with parents/carers, children and stakeholders and provide a range of constructive and educational activities meeting the needs of diverse groups. You need to be enthusiastic, a good team player, flexible and committed to respecting children’s individuality. The successful candidates should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

This is a great opportunity to work within an enthusiastic housing support team, helping vulnerable young people make the transition to independence. It is beneficial to have an understanding of the problems and issues facing homeless young people and the welfare benefits system in particular housing benefit. Experience of dealing with a wide range of people and good communication and interpersonal skills will need to be demonstrated.

Youth Worker £3,900 per annum for 10 hours per week during term time St Johns the Baptist, Kingston Vale in partnership with Oxygen (Kingston YFC) are looking to appoint a Youth worker to take on the coordination and development of the church’s outreach and discipling work amongst 10 – 13 year olds.

The appointed person will be given the challenge of building on the mission links already being established between local young people and the church. The aim will be to encourage those young people in the community who have started to make connections with the church to take these further and involve their friends.

This post is offered at 10 hours per week during term time and so would suit someone seeking flexible working conditions. Deadline for applications is the 5th December with interviews being held on the 18th December. Part of the role includes attendance and involvement at St John’s on at least two Sundays per month. Based at the Fircroft Centre, but sponsored by the Primary Care Trust, this is a cooperative project with other leading local charities. The coordinator will support service users in the projects and develop training needs. The role will also include liaising with educational establishments, developing new ventures and managing contracts with other organizations. The person should be locally based, a driver with clean license (preferred) and some experience of working with people with disabilities.

VACANCY: Youthworker N. Dorset

The Methodist Church (North Dorset Circuit) are looking for a Church Youth & Children’s Worker for a part–time post in the Sturminster Newton area.

THey have an opportunity to build on existing youth and children’s work in a group of local churches. We seek a third member of our new Circuit team.
